The Buku Music And Arts Project

After taking two years off, for the obvious reasons, the Buku Music and Arts Project is back in New Orleans this weekend. The festival covers a huge range of musical styles across electronic dance, hip hop, and indie rock.

Taking place on the New Orleans waterfront at Mardi Gras World, Buku also offers a host of companion attractions to coincide with the music. Paintings and sculptures from local and national artists are featured, including the live graffiti gallery where pieces are completed in real time over the course of the festival. There are also pop up performances that happen throughout the festival grounds.

Now that we are officially in spring, it is great to see events like this coming back.
